Calling all creatives! Join us for an introduction to printmaking; an art form that involves transferring images from a template, or matrix, to another surface, such as paper or fabric. This class will introduce several printmaking media and techniques, including, but not limited to: relief printing, monotype techniques, cyanotype and screenprinting. We will incorporate traditional tools and modern tools within our projects. On the traditional side, we'll leverage carving knives, brayers (rollers used to apply ink), and presses. On the modern side, you'll find digital tools like graphic tablets, software that can be used to create digital prints and a vinyl cutter.

During our meetings, the focus will be on creating original art works, with the ability to make multiple copies of such art works in a standardized way.

Each printmaking technique will be thoroughly explained and demonstrated. We'll have fun learning in a hands-on environment.
