Description

Get ready to code, build, hack, and create! In this Tech & Robotics course, students will explore the world of coding, electronics, robotics, and engineering through a series of increasingly challenging projects.

Students will learn how code connects to the physical world as they program Arduinos, experiment with electronic components, build and control bots, and take on exciting HackPack engineering challenges. Rather than simply following instructions, students will be encouraged to understand how things work, troubleshoot problems, modify designs, and find creative ways to make their builds do something new.

Throughout the session, students will develop skills in coding, circuits, microcontrollers, motors, sensors, mechanical systems, robotics, debugging, and engineering design. Projects will progress from foundational skills to more complex builds, giving beginners an accessible entry point while providing opportunities for experienced students to take their designs and code further.

The heart of the class is experimentation: Build it. Code it. Test it. Hack it. Improve it. Students will learn that mistakes and failed prototypes are an important part of engineering—and often lead to the most interesting discoveries.

No previous experience required! We just ask students to come ready to focus, experiment, problem-solve, and a positive attitude.
