Description

Explore design thinking and making using techniques such as hands-on sculpting, models, and 3D printing. Students will use TinkerCad to design spaces, dream cars, and more—building creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence along the way. Description

This fall, step into the world of Design & 3D Making with our Wednesday class for grades 3–8! Students will explore design thinking and bring their ideas to life using digital tools like Tinkercad, alongside hands-on sculpting, model-building, and 3D printing.

Throughout the course, students will tackle exciting projects such as:

  • Creating a self-watering planter
  • Designing and making an aesthetic sculpture
  • Creating a personalized bedroom and model
  • Conceptualizing a dream car and creating a mini model
  • Designing a home or commercial space for a fictitious client with specific interests/needs

By combining digital design with real-world making, students will build problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence in turning ideas into tangible creations. This class is perfect for aspiring architects, designers, engineers, or any young innovator who loves to build and create!

Restrictions

Participants must currently be in grades 3 to 8.
