In this four-week fashion studio, students will explore creative techniques for transforming everyday clothing into one-of-a-kind, wearable art. Using methods such as airbrush painting, appliqué, patchwork, sashiko stitching, and other surface design techniques, students will learn how to embellish garments in ways that reflect their unique style.
This class emphasizes experimentation, craftsmanship, and self-expression rather than cookie-cutter trends. Students will work hands-on with fabric, thread, paint, appliqué materials and more while learning how design choices—color, texture, placement, and pattern—can transform a piece of clothing.
By the end of the course, each student will have created authentic, customized garments that showcase their personal aesthetic. The studio environment encourages creativity, confidence, and pride in making something custom—perfect for young designers who want to express themselves through fashion.
