Prom Alterations & Upcycling Studio_Saturday, 4/4_1-6PM_$35 Single Day Workshop Fee

This Prom Alterations & Upcycling Studio offers high school students a supportive, hands-on space to tailor and transform their prom dresses or suit jackets with guidance from experienced instructors. Over two consecutive Saturdays, students may attend one or both open studio sessions to work on alterations such as hemming, taking dresses in or out, adjusting straps, or making artistic modifications.

The open-studio format allows participants to receive individualized support while working at their own pace and receiving creative input as needed. Whether students are making simple fit adjustments or exploring subtle upcycling ideas, the goal is to help each participant feel confident, comfortable, and excited about wearing a dress that truly fits and feels like their own. It's not just about adjusting or relocating straps on dresses or changing the length. Suit jackets can be elevated too, with custom linings and button swaps to expressive stitching and personal details, suit jackets can be reimagined in ways that feel modern, meaningful, and uniquely their own. This studio is about empowering students to step into prom night wearing something that fits well, feels intentional, and reflects who they are.
